The Immutability of the Qur’an: a concept map
“Indeed We have sent down the Reminder, and indeed We will preserve it” (15:9). ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī explains how the Qur’an is protected: nothing added to it or lost from it, no falsehood able to enter it now or until the Resurrection, words that no one can change, and verses that confirm one another. He also explains why the same was not true of the scriptures before it. Each point opens his own words in the commentary.
“We will preserve it”
Words no one can change
Unlike the earlier scriptures
Immutability
The Qur’an kept free of alteration
