Copyright and Unauthorized Copies
The English translation of Tafsīr al-Mīzān published on this website, together with its notes, editing and arrangement, is © 2013–2026 Tawheed Institute Australia Ltd. All rights reserved. It is protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and by international copyright treaties.
Warning: unauthorized PDF copies
PDF copies of this commentary are being circulated free of charge on other websites. They were taken from an earlier version of our website without our permission. Tawheed Institute Australia did not publish, approve or authorize them, and their distribution infringes our copyright.
These copies are also unreliable. The text has since been corrected throughout: thousands of spelling corrections, hundreds of typographical errors, wrong verse references and verse labels, misspelled names, passages checked again against the Arabic original, and commentary that was missing has been restored. None of these corrections are in the copies that are circulating. Reading, quoting or teaching from them will repeat errors that are not in the ʿAllāmah's work.
If you have downloaded one of these PDFs:
- do not share, upload or forward it, and delete it;
- do not quote from it; use the corrected text on almizan.org, which is free to read;
- if you know where these copies are being offered, please send the link to [email protected].
We are taking steps to have these copies removed, including notices to the websites and services that host them.
What you may do
You are welcome to read and study the commentary on this website, and to keep your own notes, highlights and collections with the study tools.
You may quote short passages for study, teaching, research, review or a sermon, provided that you quote them accurately, name the source, and link to the page on almizan.org. The ❝ Cite button under each verse, and on any passage you select, gives a ready-made reference with the volume and pages of the printed edition.
What is not permitted
Without our prior written permission, you may not:
- copy, download or extract the commentary in whole or in substantial part, by hand or by automated means (scraping, crawling or bulk downloading);
- reproduce, republish or distribute it in any form, including PDF, e-book, print, an app, a website, a file-sharing service or social media, whether free of charge or for sale;
- translate it, adapt it, or present it as your own work;
- use it to build or train software, databases or artificial-intelligence models.
These restrictions apply whether or not a copy is offered for profit. We reserve all our rights and will act against infringement.
