Time: Seemingly one of the earliest sūrahs, revealed at the outset of the Prophet's mission (al-ʿatāʾiq). Al-Mizan deduces this from its vindication of the Prophet from the charge of insanity, which people leveled at him at the beginning of his mission; the same vindication appears in Sūrah Nūn (), revealed at the outset of the mission. → Introduction
